A Workout and A Long Run

Monday after work I went to Cross Fit again. Really liking it.

Yesterday I ran 9 miles. Tough run. Uphill on the way back with a nasty headwind. Only walked about 1/2 mile of it. Took a long time though, 124 minutes. Pretty slow. And I'm sore today. I was planning on doing a short 3 mile today but I've got quite a spasm going in my left leg and I'm going to Cross Fit again today so I'll skip the run for now.

Cross Fit and an early Run

Did a weight work out with Cross Fit gym last night. I've decided to join after seeing what it's done for my daughter.

This morning before work I did a 5K - 35 minutes - that's just over 11 minute miles. Not too bad.

A run AND weights

Yesterday after work I ran the same two miles again.  Felt even better.  I'm not too surprised at the difficulty.  After all it has been six weeks of rest.  My hip wasn't too sore afterwards but I performed the required stretches before and after the run and then applied the ice pack.

This morning I managed to get up early enough to fit in a weight work out.
I know I'm going to be sore from this for a while.  Ouch.  Already am!
